Motorcyclist hurt after crashing into deer

Tomah, Wi.-- Monroe County Sheriff Peter Quirin says one person is seriously hurt after a motorcycle crash on Wednesday night.

The crash happened at 9:36 p.m. on State Hwy 16, about four tenths of a mile east of Cty Hwy N in the town of Tomah.

A 2002 Harley Davidson driven by 63 year-old Dana G. Crohn of Rural Camp Douglas was east bound when a deer came out the north ditch.

Crohn was unable avoid the deer and they collided. Crohn who was not wearing a helmet, suffered serious head injuries and was transported to Tomah Memorial Hospital and was later taken by Med-link Air to Gundersen.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
