NEW INFORMATION: Body of missing Hudson area man found in Red Cedar River

HUDSON, Wis. (ST. CROIX COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE) -- The St. Croix County Sheriffs Office has been informed by the Menomonie Police Department that Joseph Albert Briske was found deceased in the Red Cedar River this afternoon. The St. Croix County Sheriffs Office and the Menomonie Police Department will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mr. Briske's disappearance and death.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Menomonie Polic e Department, Menomonie Fire Department, Dunn County Sheriff s Office , and the Wisconsin DNR for their assistance in locating Mr. Briske.
MADISON, Wis. (WEAU) --Investigators are searching for a missing Hudson area man who's car was found near Menomonie.

The Wisconsin Crime Alert Network says the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Joseph Briske, 45. He left his home early Monday morning without explaining why. Troopers found his car on Interstate 94 east of Menomonie that morning. Menomonie police and the Dunn County Sheriff's Office has been searching since Monday, but hasn't found him.
