EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)- A local museum is celebrating Wisconsin Museum's week and International Museum’s Day.

Sunday the Chippewa Valley Museum kicked of the week with discounted admission and a scavenger hunt for guests.

The museum says they have been busy the last few months gearing up for the summer season.

Since November the museum has been busy working to install a new exhibit that replaces two exhibits that have been at the museum for more than 20 years.

“The Changing Currents exhibit takes the history back to the middle of the 1600's and brings it all the way up to the present with a bunch of fun experiences,” Chippewa Valley Museum Editor John Vanek said.

Vanek says the Changing Currents exhibit will open for a preview period on July 4th.

The museum will also be celebrating Fourth of July with free admission and a celebration featuring games, food and more.
