ST. PAUL, Minn. (WEAU) -- Crews hope to begin demolition Monday on a home where a father killed his three young daughters.
A spokeswoman from Affinity Plus Credit Union, which owns the River Falls home, says the last remaining parts of the home that will be donated will be removed this weekend. If everything goes as planned, she says demolition would be finished around Wednesday. She was not sure how much would be donated to St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity, or the value of the items, but hoped to have a better idea of that by the end of the weekend.
After demolition is finished, the credit union plans to clear the property and sell it. The profit on the sale will be donated to help build Tri-Angels Memorial Playground. The River Falls playground is in memory of 11-year-old Amara, 8-year-old Sophie, and 5-year-old Cecilia Schaffhausen.
