NEW INFORMATION: Driver in Eau Claire crash arrested on suspicion of meth possession

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The driver arrested after a rollover crash in Eau Claire Thursday morning is suspected of meth possession.

Eau Claire police say they arrested Michael Brown, 35, of Eau Claire after he was released from the hospital on Thursday. Investigators are still looking into the cause of the crash. They expect Brown to appear in court Friday morning. No charges had been filed in the case as of Friday morning.

The crash happened on the 400 block of West Hamilton Avenue in Eau Claire just before 6 a.m. Thursday. Officers say Brown rolled the car into a tree.
