"Merry Mulch" program ends for the season Sunday

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- An annual program that lets people dispose of Christmas trees ends for the season Sunday.

The "Merry Mulch" program allows people living in Eau Claire County to recycle their trees at Carson Park. They can drop the trees off in the parking lot for free. The trees are eventually turned into mulch. The City of Eau Claire makes the mulch available for free as landscaping material in the spring.

For more information, contact the City of Eau Claire Forestry Division at (715) 839-5039.
