NEW INFORMATION: Name of Eau Claire man killed in crash near Watertown released

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- Wisconsin State Patrol tells us they were called to crash on I-94 near Watertown around 11:30 a.m.

They say a Ford Crown Victoria was traveling in the left lane of eastbound I-94 when a deer crossed its path. The car struck the deer head-on, causing the deer to smash through the windshield, injuring the driver and front seat passenger.

The driver and passenger were transported to a local hospital. The driver, 53-year-old Joyce Running, was treating for non-life threatening injuries. The passenger, 54-year-old David Running, died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.
