BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- Investigators are looking for information in a fight at a tavern that led to a stabbing Wednesday night.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says Richard West (pictured in this story), 36, of the Town of Garfield was arrested for Aggravated Battery and taken to jail. Deputies responded to the Whispering Pines Tavern on South Prairie Road near Osseo on a report of a fight around 8 p.m. Wednesday. When they got there, they found David Peterson, 44, of Osseo getting treatment from emergency responders. He ended up with a cut to the abdomen, which is considered non-life-threatening. West had left the tavern. Investigators found him at his home on West Hillcrest Road later. Emergency responders negotiated with him, and he surrendered. No criminal charges have been filed in the case.

Deputies ask that anyone with information call the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
