NEW INFORMATION: People in Elk Mound allowed to stop running water continuously

By  |

ELK MOUND, Wis. (WEAU) -- Another area community is letting people know they no longer need to run water continuously.

The Village of Elk Mound made the announcement on Wednesday. In February, Elk Mound and many other communities in western Wisconsin asked people to run a stream of water the size of a pencil to prevent pipes from freezing. The City of Thorp said people there could stop running their water earlier this week.

If you have any questions about the announcement, call Elk Mound's Director of Public Works at (715) 379-3728.
