CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- Investigators say they caught two men accused of defrauding local banks out of nearly $25,000.

Chippewa Falls police say officers arrested Nathan Johnson, 23, in Eau Claire on August 30. They arrested Isaac Lasiewicz, 22, of Chippewa Falls early the next day in Chippewa Falls. Court records show a judge reinstated his signature bond during his court appearance on Tuesday. On August 25, police announced that they were searching for the men. Investigators said they believed the men stole and deposited personal and business checks in Chippewa and Eau Claire County. Dozens of tips calls came in. Officers say the information from the tips led to the arrests.

Police say more arrests are expected in the case.
