NEW INFORMATION: Victim in deadly snowmobile crash identified

BALSAM LAKE, Wis. (WEAU) -- We now know the name of the woman who died in a snowmobile crash on Wednesday.

On Friday, The Polk County Sheriff's Office identified her as Victoria Henderson, 20, of Luck. The crash happened on Bone Lake, which is near Luck. Investigators say that it appears that the sled turned to avoid an ice fishing shack. That's when investigators say that Henderson hit the shack. The department describes it as "a glancing, side swipe type of contact." There was no visible damage to the sled afterwards.

Investigators arrested Nicholas Krenz, 21, of St. Croix Falls at the scene of the crash for for operating a snowmobile while intoxicated. No criminal charges had been filed in the case as of Friday morning.
