HUDSON, Wis. (WEAU) -- Investigators say the woman whose body was found near the scene of a crash Sunday morning drowned in a lake.
The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office released the medical examiner's findings on Tuesday afternoon. A report from the medical examiner's office shows Kristelle Wolle, 38, of Baldwin had no traumatic injuries, and that her blood alcohol content was .216 percent. That's more than twice the legal limit for driving. Wolle's body was found in Pine Lake Sunday, which is about 100 yards from where a car had crashed north of Baldwin.
Investigators say Wolle was out with friends Saturday. They say the last time someone heard from her was just before 2:20 a.m. Sunday in Baldwin.
