Needle found in Black River Falls yard prompts call for community safety

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- Police want people to keep an eye out for needles outside after someone found one in their yard.

It happened on Tuesday on Monroe Street in Black River Falls. Black River Falls police say the person was mowing their lawn, when they found an uncapped needle and syringe. An officer responded, brought it back to the police department, and disposed of it.

Officers are warning you not to touch a needle like this if you find one. Instead, call the police department to recover it. They go on to say that if you suspect illegal drug activity, report it by phone, in person, or by following the link on the right side of this story.
