EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-- If you were around Eau Claire on the beautiful day Tuesday, you may have noticed some new…guests.
The 2013 sculptures are in now in place on Barstow Street, Water Street and the Mayo Clinic Health System campus. They were installed early Tuesday morning.
WEAU Photographer Jeff Ralph caught some of the sights and sounds around town.
Katrina Leonard from Eau Claire said "This one actually right here I thought was really interesting cause all the animals are connected together, which I think does represent the university area well as students we are connected together."
"There's a couple that in like in particular. There's sea turtles down by Phoenix Park and then the statue in front of Mona Lisa's I would recommend as well," says Eau Claire resident, Cheri Dostal.
"I try to use movement in a lot of my pieces. A lot of people think of steel as an inanimate, hard object, so I try to make it look like it has a little bit of life to it," says sculptor Gregory Mendez.
