LOYAL, Wis. (NEWS RELEASE) - A core group of ladies gathered together at Rumours Supper Club in Loyal on Wednesday February 20, 2013 to lay the ground work for the newly forming, “Professional Ladies of Clark County”. The group’s purpose is to create a social network for professional ladies throughout Clark County. It also provides them with a place where they can meet other business minded professional ladies to exchange ideas, resources, and contacts. The group strives to make others aware of what neighboring towns in our county have to offer everyone, encouraging community members to support their local businesses and other professional services. “Professional Ladies of Clark County” will be a strong support system for our future professional ladies, encouraging and guiding them to success. We plan to incorporate guest speakers and tours of area businesses for future gatherings.
Upcoming gatherings will be held on the second Thursday of each month from 6 pm to 8 pm at different locations throughout the county. Refreshments will be available at each location at your own expense. Ladies from the host town will be involved in making arrangements for their town.

OWEN, Wisc. (WEAU) - Clark County is known mostly for its agriculture but a growing number of women are bringing businesses back to its small towns.
With more and more women owning businesses in the county, a new organization formed to share ideas and network, for natives and newcomers.
Risks are being rewarded after Sheri Rohland of Withee and Jennifer Batchelder of Owen, opened a winery, and salon and spa.
"It's been a wonderful adventure," Rohland, owner of Munson Bridge Winery said.
"We've grown; we're doing good for being here two years," Batchelder, owner and operator of Mystic Rhapsody Massage and Spa, said.
With nine of 17 businesses on Owen's main street owned by women, and more in surrounding communities, a new organization is forming called "Professional Ladies of Clark County," to help them connect, teach and support each other through bi-monthly meetings.
"You can network with other women, get ideas as to what's been working for their business, even if it's not in the same category of business that I'm in, they may have an idea that I can take and spin off of and take it and grow it for my own business," Batchelder said.
"It's really great that women are stepping out and taking on businesses, of all different kinds."
"It says a lot for us because we do get together and talk. A great place to do that is just at dinner with a glass of wine. And it's even greater if it's one of my wines. We just share ideas and encourage each other," Rohland said.
"Somebody's got a talent and they can help that other, so having this group of women together is going to be a wonderful thing," she said.
