New Fairest of the Fair crowned in Chippewa Falls

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU)-- The 6th Fairest of the Fair was crowned Friday at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair.

Lindy Clark, a 2014 graduate of Chippewa Falls High School, took the crown. Clark is from Tilden and is the daughter of Jerry and Karen Clark. She plans to study nursing at UW-Eau Claire in the fall.

According to the Northern Wisconsin State Fair website, the purpose of the Fairest of the Fair is to promote a variety of opportunities - educational, agricultural, social, cultural and commercial - available at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair.

The winning contestant will be the official ambassador for the Fair and will receive a $1,000 continuing education scholarship as well as an opportunity to become the next Wisconsin State Fair "Fairest of the Fair."
