New La Crosse Mayor Kabat sworn in

(WEAU) - The next mayor of La Crosse has taken his oath.

Tim Kabat was sworn in during a ceremony at city hall Tuesday afternoon. He replaces outgoing mayor Matt Harter, who didn't run for re-election.

Some new city council members were also sworn in Tuesday. Kabat says he's hopeful for the days ahead, but says the city has challenges to face. Kabat told us "every single citizen is important, has something to share and can participate to make this great city even better."

Kabat says everyone will share in the city's successes, and will stick together during setbacks.
