New York man arrested in Eau Claire for 5th OWI

Brendon M McNamara, 44 years of age, from Warrensburg NY has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 5th offense.

On March 15, 2014 at 23:07 pm a traffic complaint came through E911 of an erratic driver on I-94 Eastbound. The vehicle was subsequently stopped by a Northwest Region Wisconsin State Trooper at Milemarker 68 for unsafe lane deviations.

The driver, Mr. McNamara failed sobriety tests and was arrested. After refusing to voluntarily submit to an evidentiary test, blood was drawn with a warrant through the Eau Claire District Attorney’s Office.

Mr. McNamara was incarcerated at the Eau Claire Jail pending court proceedings.

"Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty."
