New dating website made for Green Bay Packers fans

Margo Hecker, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at First Things First Counseling in Altoona, has seen a lot in the world of dating and marriage.

But a site like is a first.

It is a place for Green Bay Packers fans to meet, date and possibly even get married. All the while rooting together for the green and gold.

"One of my books I sometimes loan clients is 1001 questions to ask before you are married because the more knowledge of the person you bring into a relationship, a long-term relationship, the better off and happier you will be," she said.

But she says you need to still be careful. Research the people you meet, look into their name, birthday and whether they are already married, just like you would do on any other dating website.

The type of Packers fan they are can even tell something about their personality.

"Do you have the neighbors over when the packers are on? Is it a family thing?" She said.

She says online dating has become more accepted into our culture over the last 15 years. Still, reaction to a sports dating site is mixed.

"It definitely gives them something to do together, they can go to the Packers game or watch it on TV," said Dana Warwick.

"I think that's a little outrageous in my opinion, they already have so many dating websites out there and I think a sports one is a little over the top," said Taylor Ward.
