EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – The University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire’s interim chancellor begins his term.
Gilles Bousquet received a special welcome from UW-Eau Claire staff Monday morning.
Bousquet previously served as the dean of UW-Madison’s Division of International Studies and vice provost for Globalization.
He says he plans on integrating some of the lessons learned from working in that position into his time at UW-Eau Claire.
Bousquet says he likes the direction of the University’s ten-year plan and doesn’t see a need to shake things up.
"It's a very clear road map and that's also an advantage for me because I don't have to create this large plan but what I can do is look at the plan and advance particular areasof the plan which I think are important,” says Bousquet.
Bousquet’s term will last one year.
