EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The newest school in Eau Claire now has it's official name.
The Eau Claire Area School District approved the name "Prairie Ridge Early Learning School" for the former Epiphany Lutheran Church.
Board president Carol Craig says the name denotes the fact that the land where the school sits used to be prairie land before the area was commercialized.
The building will serve about 300 early learning students.
The district bought the building with nearly 17-acres of land for $2.8-million earlier this year.
