No downed plane found after search

TOWN OF BRACKETT, Wis. (WEAU) – Crews searching for a downed plane found no aircraft had crashed after looking in an area south of Brackett Monday morning.

Eau Claire County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an area near the International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers office on U.S. Highway 53 Monday morning. Someone had reported seeing a low-flying plane disappear over a hilltop.

A helicopter could be seen flying overhead during the search effort. No crashed aircraft was found.

The Department of Agriculture is scheduled to perform aerial gypsy moth spraying flights this week. You can find more information on the effort by clicking on the link below.
