EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – A food drive at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair brought in almost 12,000 pounds of food.

The drive at the fairgrounds in Chippewa Falls benefited the Feed My People Food Bank in Eau Claire. People at the fair on Sunday donated a total of 11,721 pounds. The fair-goers could donate non-perishable food items or money for a $1 coupon toward food at the fair.

There was also a collection for Feed My People at a nondenominational worship service in the grandstands.
