(WEAU) -- It has been a couple months since the Northern Wisconsin State Fair ended, but attendance numbers are out.
Fair Manager Rusty Volk says nearly 71,000 people came through the gates in July, up 19.5% over last year.
Volk says there were also increases in the number of exhibitors and the total money spent on animal auctions.
The high attendance also helped out the vendors. Volk says they posted 32% higher sales as well.
