(WEAU)-President Obama is no longer traveling to Green Bay on Tuesday for a campaign event. Obama's press office says he will stay in Washington D.C. to closely monitor the impact of and response to Hurricane Sandy

As he said at FEMA HQ on Sunday, the President has instructed his team to make sure that needed federal resources are in place to support state and local recovery efforts. Additional details about the President's schedule will be announced as soon as they are available.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- President Barack Obama plans another stop in battleground Wisconsin in the heated last days of the campaign.

Obama will campaign in Green Bay on Tuesday, a week before Election Day. The Wisconsin stop is part of a two-day swing that includes visits to other key states Colorado and Ohio. Details will be announced later.

Polls show Obama and Republican Mitt Romney are in a tight race for Wisconsin's 10 electoral votes.

Obama appeared at a rally at the University of Wisconsin-Madison earlier this month. Vice President Joe Biden plans stops Friday in Oshkosh and Kenosha.

GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan plans campaigns stops across Wisconsin next Wednesday before trick-or-treating in Janesville with his three children on Halloween.
