NEW INFORMATION: Obama to visit Milwaukee, Waukesha after address

WASHINGTON (WEAU) -- We now know more details on President Obama's upcoming Wisconsin visit.

On Monday afternoon, the White House announced that Obama would travel to the Milwaukee area on Wednesday, January 29. He'll stay in town overnight, before visiting visit General Electric’s Waukesha Gas Engines facility in Waukesha on Thursday, January 30.

The arrival and departure of Air Force One and Obama's visit to Waukesha Gas Engines are not open to the public.
WASHINGTON (AP) --A steel plant and a Costco store are among the places President Barack Obama plans to visit on a four-state tour after the State of the Union address.

The president addresses a joint session of Congress Tuesday night, and then takes off Wednesday morning for a two-day tour to promote his proposals.

First stop is Lanham, Md., just outside the Capital Beltway, where Obama plans to speak about the economy. The White House announced Monday that Obama then plans to fly to the Pittsburgh area to deliver a speech at U.S. Steel's plant in West Mifflin.

The president also plans to visit Wisconsin and Tennessee, although details of those stops have not yet been announced.
