One person hurt in Monroe Co. crash

Monroe County Sheriff Pete Quirin reports a one vehicle crash which occurred around 1:25am, Sunday April 21, 2013 resulting to injuries to one person.

The crash occurred on State Highway 71 about one tenth of a mile west of County Highway V in the township of Wilton.

A passenger car operated by Bradley T Havlick age 21 of rural Wilton was west bound on State Highway 71 negotiating a curve.

The vehicle crossed the center line and struck a guardrail on the south side of the highway.

The vehicle then crossed back over the centerline, left the roadway, struck an embankment on the north side of the highway and rolled on to its side in a ditch.

The driver received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Tomah Memorial Hospital by the Wilton Ambulance Service. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Department at the scene were the Kendall Fire Department, Wilton Ambulance Service, Norwalk / Wilton Police Department and the Monroe County 911 Communication Center.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
