PRESCOTT, Wis. (WEAU) -- One person was hurt after his motorcycle swerved in order to avoid hitting a car in Pierce County.

It happened around 8 p.m. Saturday on Highway 35 near Prescott.

Deputies say 51-year-old David Dykema of Pepin tried to avoid hitting a car that suddenly slowed in front of him. A car in front of that car slowed to take a left turn. He swerved his motorcycle and lost control.

Deputies say Dykema was thrown from the bike and was found lying in the ditch. He was taken to the hospital with undetermined injuries.
