One person hurt in van vs. semi crash on I-94

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- One person was taken to the hospital after a crash on I-94 Friday.

It happened around 2:40 in the afternoon near Elk Mound.

The State Patrol says a van headed west ran into the back of a semi that was parked on the shoulder.

It says the van driver was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries and the driver of the semi wasn't hurt.

One lane of I-94 had to be closed for about 35 minutes.
