One person injured after house fire near Rice Lake

RICE LAKE, Wis (WEAU)—One person was injured in a house fire near Rice Lake Saturday night. Rice Lake Fire Department says they were called to a structure fire just before 7:00pm on County Highway ‘SS’ in the Town of Oak Grove. Upon arrival, fire crews say they found the two-story home fully engulfed in flames. Crews say the fire was on both floors and through the roof of the home. The department says the fire was under control by 8:25 pm. They were assisted by Bear Lake Haugen Fire Department.
The total damage is estimated at around $200,000 for the home and $100,000 for the belongings inside. The property is owned by Ronald and Constance Wilda.
Barron County Sheriff's Department is investigating the fire. The name of the injured person has not been released and their condition is unknown.
