One person is dead, one injured after a crash in Pierce County

Pierce County, Wis (WEAU)-- One person is dead and another after a car collides with a semi-trailer on US HWY 10.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s department says it was called to Oak Grove Township for a crash around 6:20 Saturday.
Deputies say the car was traveling north on County Rd E when the driver failed to stop at an intersection and drove under the trailer of a semi traveling east on HWY 10.
Deputies say the car hit the trailer axel and slid more than 100 yards.
Deputies say the male driver of the car was dead at the scene and his female passenger was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The semi driver was not hurt. No names have been released.
