One person taken to hospital after crashing into trees

Vernon County Sheriff John B. Spears reports a one vehicle crash in the Town of Kickapoo. The accident occurred on Randall Road at Day Creek Road.

The operator Matthew Schultz, age 29, of Readstown, lost control of his truck and went off road hitting some trees. Matthew was injured in the crash and taken to Vernon Memorial Hospital by Readstown Ambulance.

Assisting at the scene were the Readstown Fire Department, and Readstown Ambulance.

The accident remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department.
