(WEAU) - It took 10 law enforcement agencies and a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter to end a chase over 53 miles of roads in western Wisconsin, but the driver and a passenger are still on the loose.
The Polk County Sheriff's office says the chase started late Tuesday in Osceola when a police officer stopped an SUV for a traffic violation. It says the SUV drove off north on Wisconsin Highway 35, avoiding road spikes placed by officers. The chase ended in a field 41 minutes later.
Tanya St. John, 22, of Hinckley, Minnesota was caught by a police dog.
