Organization aims to combat problem gambling during month of March

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WEAU)- As basketball teams and fans get ready for tournament time, problem gambling organizations are also preparing for a busy month.

The Wisconsin Council for Problem Gambling says March is a common time for problem gamblers to fall back on old habits.

That's why the group launched a campaign to raise awareness and offer help to those who need it during this month.

The Wisconsin council does offer a help-line and a website for compulsive gamblers seeking help.

The number for the 24-hour Help-line is 1-800-GAMBLE-5. A link to the organization’s website can be found on the right-hand side of the screen under Related Items.
