Outdoor watering ban in effect in Lake Hallie

By  |

LAKE HALLIE, Wis. (WEAU) – The dry, hot weather has one community banning outdoor watering.

The Village of Lake Hallie says its watering ban takes effect immediately. It will remain in effect until the village says otherwise. Property owners can ask for an exemption for situations like newly sodded or seeded lawns. Those people have to fill out a form that the village provides.

The village gives violators a written warning the first time they break the rule, then the police could ticket those violators for each subsequent violation. The village could suspend water service to a property owner if they violate the ban six times.
