Rice Lake (WEAU)- The Packers tailgate tour was in Western Wisconsin on Friday. It made stops in Superior, Hayward, Spooner, and Rice Lake. It also included some surprise visits including at the Norske Nook in Rice Lake, a hospital in Spooner and at the tailgate party at the Barron County Fairgrounds. It's a five-day trip to get Packers fans around the state excited for next year.
Says Ray Conant, "For everybody to come here to see the players that are donating their time, their efforts to raise money for a good cause is an outstanding process and I whole-heartedly support everything that they could possibly do."
Adds Jim and Taylor Dreyer, "The big thing with the players is that they used their aura about them to bring the people in and people see that they are just normal people too."
The Packers donated more than four-thousand dollars with all donations going to the Benjamin's house, an emergency shelter in Rice Lake. This year is the 9th annual tailgate tour.
