Panera Bread makes donation to Boys and Girls Club

(WEAU) - The Boys and Girls Club of the Greater Chippewa Valley got a big donation Thursday.

Panera Bread in Eau Claire presented the club with a check worth almost $10,000. The manager says the money was collected over the last couple of years.

Customers left the money in donation boxes at the restaurant and then Panera Bread matched those donations.

Panera Bread District Manager Inho Chong said "what better way to give back then to give back to the boys and girls club in our community. Kids do a great job of coming and trying to enrich themselves and getter better and we're happy to be a part of that."

Panera Bread will continue to collect money for the club and plans to present them with another check in a couple of years.
