MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The parents of an American journalist who disappeared more than four months ago in Syria say they still don't know where he is or who might be holding him.
Diane and John Foley say their son, James, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Nov. 22. He was in Syria contributing videos to Agence France-Press.
This is the second time Foley has been captured while covering conflict. He was held by the Libyan government for six weeks in 2011.
His parents said Thursday that this time is different because they have had no reliable information. Last time, they received regular updates from the State Department and others.
The Foleys traveled to Wisconsin from New Hampshire for a Friday night vigil for their son at Marquette University, where he studied history.
