WARRENS, Wis. (WEAU) -- A man's life was saved thanks to passerby’s who pulled him from a truck crash, just before it burst into flames.
The Wisconsin State Patrol said two people were hurt in the crash on I-94 at mile marker 136 near Warrens in Monroe County.
Around 12:30 Saturday afternoon, witnesses told troopers the truck blew a tire, fishtailed, rolled and landed on its roof. The driver, a 36-year-old man from Oregon, Wisconsin was thrown from the truck. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
His passenger, a 36-year-old man also from Oregon, was pulled from the truck by witnesses, before it burst into flames.
The responding EMS units extinguished the fire and the driver and passenger were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
