CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) Families looking to have fun and while learning about history are in for a treat this weekend.

The Chippewa County Historical Society is bringing back the "Past Passed Here" at Allen Park in Chippewa Falls.

It provides a fun and educational experience for everyone, while learning about how people lived in the Chippewa Valley back in the 18th and 19th centuries.

It'll feature re-enactments, camp skill competitions and food vendors that'll be serving up the old-fashioned style food.

"Basically we started out to show 4th graders what life was like 250-200 years ago in this area because this is a historic place, this is where the Indians and the traders and the trappers all met to exchange things," says Mary Brown, an organizer.

It starts at 9:00am both Saturday and Sunday.

It $3 a person, or 10$ per family.

Kids under 5 get in free.
