MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Artifacts from a Wisconsin woman who served as a nurse at Pearl Harbor during World War II have been added to the collection of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum.

Rhoda Ann Ziesler-Weller, of Manitowoc, was stationed at Pearl Harbor less than a month before the Japanese attack on Dec. 7, 1941. More than 2,400 people were killed in the attack and 1,100 were wounded.

Ziesler-Weller survived the attack and remained stationed at Pearl Harbor until 1945. She died in 2001.

Her journal, photographs, nurse's uniform, letters, and other items have been added to the museum's collection. They can be viewed by contacting the museum to set up an appointment.

The museum has more than 26,000 artifacts in its collection.
