Pedestrian hit by semi on Hwy 29 seriously hurt

ABBOTSFORD, Wis. (WEAU) -- A 29-year-old man is seriously hurt after being hit by a semi-truck near Abbotsford.

The Marathon County Sheriff's Department says it got a call around 4:10 Saturday morning. Deputies say a semi-truck heading east on Hwy 29 hit a pedestrian at Hiline Ave. and Hwy 13.

The 29-year-old man is in serious condition at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

All eastbound lanes of Hwy 29 were closed for more than two hours.

No names have been released and the crash is under investigation by Marathon Co. Sheriff's Department.
