Pedestrian hurt in La Crosse traffic accident
NEWS RELEASE:
On 09/05/12 at 5:33 a.m., officers of the La Crosse Police Department responded to a serious vehicle accident involving one vehicle and a pedestrian at Mormon Coulee Road and South 33rd Street.
Currently southbound traffic on Mormon Coulee Road is open and Northbound traffic should be open by approximately 8:00 a.m. as the State Patrol and La Crosse Police investigate the scene of the accident.
Northbound traffic on Mormon Coulee road is being re-routed up 33rd Street to Broadview Place. People should use caution and slow down while going through the listed area.
As a result of the accident, one person (pedestrian) was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
The incident is currently under investigation and relatives are being contacted.
