Person arrested in connection to six fires in Sawyer County

(WEAU) - Deputies say they've arrested a person who might be responsible for six separate fires in Sawyer County.

The sheriff's department says over the weekend, crews were called out to fires at the Trading Post in Bass Lake, a ceremonial lodge next to the Lac Courte Oreilles Head Start building, the Lac Courte Oreilles Honor the Earth Pow Wow Grounds, two sweat lodges and a ceremonial ring in the Town of Sand Lake.

It says all six fires are believed to be criminal in nature, and that deputies arrested a person of interest Sunday night, but are not releasing the person's identity.
