STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) -- A 32-year-old man will stand trial for allegedly beating his stepfather to death with a baseball bat in Portage County.
Stevens Point Journal Media reports a judge decided Monday there was enough evidence to order Andrew Pray to stand trial.
Pray, of Plover, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of 77-year-old Chris Bonnstetter.
According to Bonnsetter's wife, Jennifer Pray, Andrew Pray came up the basement stairs and hit Bonnstetter three to four times while Bonnstetter lay on the floor May 26.
Plover Police Officer Michael Tracy testified Monday during the preliminary hearing that Andrew Pray only said "no comment" when Tracy found him standing in front of the garage at the scene.
A message left for Andrew Pray's attorney was not immediately returned Tuesday.
