Polaris to expand in Osceola

MADISON, Wis. (WEAU) -- Polaris Industries plans to expand in Osceola.

A news release from the Office of the Governor on Thursday said the plan is to add 60 jobs and keep 200 existing positions. The $1,750,000 expansion project is for the engine assembly operations. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation is providing the company up to $234,000 in tax credits for the project.

In 2010, the company announced it would close the plant and move nearly 500 jobs to Mexico. Some people were laid off, but the plant did not close.
