VIROQUA, Wis. (WEAU) – Investigators are trying to find whoever broke into a church this week.

Sometime Wednesday night or Thursday morning before 9 a.m., officers say a person or people broke into Grace Community Church in Ontario. A news release from Vernon County Crimestoppers did not indicate whether anything was stolen from the church. It says the suspect or suspects will have a cut to their hand or arm or to their stomach area. They hope details of the case from police records might trigger someone’s memory of the person or people involved.

If you have information, call 608-637-8477. You can also text-a-tip by texting to 274637 (CRIMES) and typing the keyword of “VERN” plus the tip in the message box. Callers could be eligible for rewards of up to $1,000.
