LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Police are investigating two separate but unrelated gunfires in the city of La Crosse.
Six people were arrested in the first incident.
It happened around 2:30 Saturday afternoon on the 1400 block of Charles Street.
La Crosse police say it began as a physical fight between a local gang and escalated when someone pulled a handgun and fired several times into the air.
No one was hurt from the gunfire.
Officers arrested six people on several different charges including Teng Xiong, Chong Xiong, JoshuaTidwell, Yia Vang, Douzhong Vu and Ting Yang.
The second shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday on the 100 block of S. 7th Street in La Crosse.
Officers say a group of 10 to 15 people were having a party when a fight broke out and gun fire went off from at least two different weapons.
One person was shot and is being treated at a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At this time no suspects are in custody.
