Police investigating vandalism to Rice Lake park sign

RICE LAKE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Officers are trying to find whoever is responsible for vandalizing a park sign.

Rice Lake police put out a call for information on their Facebook page on Tuesday. They say the Lumbering Hall of Fame Park sign was vandalized between December 1, 2013 and December 2, 2013. The sign is near the park's south boat landing on Stein Street. Officers believe it was damaged at random. Graffiti was left on both sides of the sign. There is more than $2,000 in damage.

The National Lumbering Hall of Fame Committee is a non-profit volunteer based group. It runs on fundraisers and individual donations. The group is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in the crime. You're asked to call the Rice Lake Police Department if you have any information.
