EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Eau Claire police are still looking for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a pharmacy.

Officers say it happened at the health mart pharmacy off of Clairemont Avenue around 4 PM Monday.

They say a man went into the pharmacy showed some sort of weapon and took off with an unknown amount of merchandise.

In March, officers say the same pharmacy was robbed and the suspect got away with an unknown amount of prescription drugs.

“We definitely want businesses to take proactive measures to make sure they don’t become the victims of crime. In this case I can’t say if that is or isn’t the case but we always want people to watch out and be cautious,” Eau Claire Police Officer Kyle Roder said.

The department says a team of investigators is continuing to look through evidence Monday night.

Officers are searching a south side Eau Claire neighborhood for a suspect in an armed robbery.

Police have surrounded an area near Blakeley Avenue and East Clairemont Parkway. Officer Kyle Roder tells WEAU 13 News that a man went into Health Mart Pharmacy on Clairemont Avenue around 4 p.m. Monday and showed a weapon. The suspect then ran off.
